A horse is a horse of course

Sietse is a big fan of horses. So when we stood in front of the display full of iron-on appliques, Sietse didn't have to think. There were cars, arrows, hearts, strawberries, flowers and birds. But Sietse chose the horses. I had all the pieces for leather shoes cut at home. Kirsten gave me a big piece of brown and a big piece of black leather. Enough to make a couple of pairs of slofjes :). When Sietse took a nap I quickly assembled them. I can't remember how many of these I've made, but they are so nice to make. The only problem is, I don't have pink nor purple leather. So if anyone has an old jacket, pair of pants or sample of purple or pink (or silver, or other cool colours) I am all ready for it. You'll be sure to get a pair of slofjes in return.

In the afternoon, when Sietse woke up, he tried on his new slofjes. And he was so happy with them. Although I noticed his feet have grown and I might as well have made a size larger. It's just a good excuse to make another pair some day soon ;).

Sietse is going to a different location of the same day care next month, and I want to send him off with some nice things. Like new slofjes.

  1. Leuk zijn ze! Elke keer als je het erover hebt dat Sietse naar een andere vestiging gaat moet ik even zuchten...
